Do you ever dream of becoming an artist but keep putting it off until you have ‘more time’? 

To many, the very thought of the blank white canvas can cause a state of anxiety. You can quickly find yourself as the ‘art admirer’ rather than the ‘art creator’. And you begin to wonder, what if, you start painting and your paintings look terrible. 

But not to worry. This "beginner acrylic class" is an art course designed for individuals with no prior painting experience, focusing on the fundamental techniques of using acrylic paint, including color mixing, brush handling, composition basics, and applying paint to canvas, allowing students to create their first artwork while learning the essential skills needed to paint with acrylics. 

In this course, you will find that acrylic painting is a simple, flexible and effective way to learn how to paint successfully. Acrylic paints can produce vibrant colors, dry quickly and can be diluted and cleaned with water, making them easy to use. 

Key points about a beginner acrylic class: 

• It covers essential concepts like primary and secondary colors, color mixing, and different brush types. 
• Explains the different types of acrylic paints, mediums, and canvases, and how to use them effectively. 

• Emphasizes hands-on painting time, allowing students to experiment and create their own artwork. Students will work on a straightforward painting project to practice techniques and build confidence. 

• No experience required. 

Canvas, brushes and paint will be supplied for use in class. Students will keep the canvas with their beautiful paintings.
