First Wednesday Open Art Critique offers members the opportunity to receive positive input and support as they work to become better artists. The Critique is open to all Art Club Members and all mediums including Fiber Clay.
Information about how to offer a constructive critique in a positive tone is discussed at the beginning to ensure that the experience will be helpful and unintimidating.
Paintings are placed upon easels at the front of the room and the artist introduces their work to the group explaining what medium it is, what was its inspiration, what they are trying to express, and what areas or issues would they like help to resolve.
All members in attendance are encouraged to give input as "other eyes" on our work can be very helpful as we work to improve our skills. How to Judge the Quality of Abstract Art Importance of Criticism in Art How to Critique a Painting
