Is this workshop for you?
This is an introduction to alcohol inks, great for beginners with no experience! Alcohol inks are easy to use, so no prior art knowledge is required.
If you already have some(but limited) experience with alcohol inks, you are sure to pick up a few new tips and techniques.
What can I expect to learn at this workshop?
Creating with alcohol inks is fun, surprising, and addictive!! In this three-hour workshop, you’ll explore what alcohol inks are, how they move, and what makes them unique.
Your hands-on experience will include:
- A comparison of five different substrates: tile, glass, and three different papers.
- An exploration of a dozen or more different ink movement techniques
- The creation of three different botanicals: desert cactus bloom, garden blooms and a macro bloom
- Each of your 5x7” paintings will be ready for matting and framing.
What’s provided in the workshop?
Most supplies will be provided, including inks, substrates and tools to move the ink.
Ink bottles can leak and be messy. . . so plastic gloves will be provided to protect your hands.
A list of supplies used in the workshop will also be provided.
What do I need to bring to the workshop?
An apron or other coverup to protect your clothing from possible ink stains.
A grocery bag or small box (shoe box is perfect) to hold and transport your projects home!
Face mask (optional) if you are sensitive to the smell of isopropyl alcohol
